Our Mission
CEEGS is dedicated to transforming and advancing the STEM landscape by championing gender fairness and promoting inclusive excellence in engineering education. Our purpose is to achieve this goal by developing and disseminating innovative, evidence-based educational models, addressing critical issues through targeted support and advocacy, and strategically linking diverse underrepresented girls and women with essential pathways of industry to ensure more representative future development in the Ohio community and U.S. society.
Objectives
The Center for Engineering Education and Gender Studies is an Ohio educational nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving and advancing inclusive engineering education across STEM by focusing on four core areas: curriculum & research, which designs and implements evidence-based, inclusive educational materials; education & training, which provides structured mentorship to underrepresented girls and women; career development, which provides need-based support to address barriers and establish industry partnerships to secure internships and career networks; and advocacy & outreach, which advocates for systemic policy transformation and increases public awareness regarding the importance of gender equity in the engineering field/disciplines.
